吴高钟简介

  吴高 钟 的 艺术创 作从 90 年代开始。 1998 年开始行 为艺术创 作。 2000 年他的行 为艺术 作品《五月二十八日 诞 辰》曾在 艺术 界和全社会引 发 广泛关注和争 议 。 此后吴高 钟 把行 为艺 术 的方式融入日常的 艺术创 作中, 致力于将行 为艺术 的行 动 化 转 化 为 一种内 敛 的物 质语 言。 不断在新的材料和媒介上 进 行行 动 的 尝试 , 通 过 “ 植毛 ” 或 “ 刀削 ”“ 凿击 “ 等持 续 性的身体介入, 赋 予了作品全新的感官 维 度。 他将个人 经历 和生存体 验转 化 为 触 动 人心的 视觉 形式, 淋漓尽 致地呈 现 了生命中惊悚、 脆弱与撕裂的深 层 痛感。

  吴高 钟 出生于中国江 苏 省。 1990 年 毕业 于南京 艺术 学院, 生活工作于北京。 其作品被 广泛展出并被国内外重要机构收藏。

  Wu Gaozhong's artistic practice began in the 1990s, with a shift towards performance art in 1998. In 2000, his performance piece Born on May 28th sparked widespread attention and controversy within both the art world and society at large. Since then, Wu has integrated the methodology of performance art into his daily artistic practice, dedicating himself to transmuting the "action" of performance into an internalized material language. He constantly experiments with action on new materials and media; through sustained physical interventions such as "hair implanting," "whittling," and "chiseling," he imbues his works with a novel sensory dimension. He transforms personal experiences and existential realities into touching visual forms, viscerally rendering the deep-seated pain associated with the horror, fragility, and laceration of life.

  Wu Gaozhong was born in Jiangsu Province, China. He graduated from the Nanjing University of the Arts in 1990 and currently lives and works in Beijing. His works have been widely exhibited and collected by prestigious institutions domestically and internationally.
